OEM vs OE vs aftermarket

OEM parts carry the carmaker's logo. OE parts are made by the same supplier (Bosch, ZF, Bilstein, Continental) but sold under the supplier's brand for a fraction of the cost. Aftermarket parts come from third parties — quality ranges from excellent to disposable.
